The A Team! {Denver Family Photographer}

The "A" family sure knows how to have fun together!
When selecting a location for their session there was only one place it had to be, The Adams County fairgrounds! Easter egg hunts, picnics and family football games all take place at this fun location! I hear this Grandma knows how to put an one mean Easter egg hunt!

Part of this awesome family lives behind me and they know how to throw a family gathering. My family has even been known to crash in on them from time to time!

And these kids... don't even get me started on how amazing these cuties are (I'm currently watching them play in my backyard) LOVE these kiddos, LOVE the blue eyes and LOVE that I got to spend an evening with them in front of my camera!

Thanks "A Team" for letting me spend some time with  your beautiful family!

Dorky socks, a deployment and a tiny precious secret {Denver Area Photographer}

It was at Missouri Western State University where it all started.

She saw him in his Army physical training getup and thought he looked like such a dork in his PT socks. Um..... those socks were not too big a deterrent as just LOOK at how in love these two cuties are!

Their first date was a road trip to Galveston Texas. All the friends in the group going with them bailed out at the last minute and not wanting to miss out on road trip fun they decided to go anyway!

Love bloomed, he asked, she said yes and just a few months ago they just celebrated two years of marital bliss! (Maybe those friends of theirs had a plan up their sleeves the whole time in bailing on the trip!) Just guess where they honeymooned??? You got it! Galveston!

When I met with this couple in Downtown Denver for their session I could just feel the love between them. It was electric, it was sweet and it was real. You see Guy (yep, coolest name huh?) Is serving in the United States Army, 1st Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fox Company 1-66 Armor. They are the "Iron Knights"

On the day I was with them Guy was leaving for Afghanistan for a years deployment just 3 days later.

See now why their love was on fire!  They were so cute and Lacey... well she was just beaming with pride for her soldier. She was proud, a bit sad, anxious and most of all, she was glowing. You see that day Lacey (and Guy) held a secret between them. A precious little secret that will be making an appearance early in 2011. I'm not going to lie, there were tears shed by all during our time together.

Thank you Guy and Lacey for letting me hang out with you
for an evening and sharing your amazing secret with me!
I also want to thank you both for your service and sacrifice for us all.
May God bless you and keep you both safe and comforted while apart.

Thank you Becky Higgins for the chance to participate in the
BIG Photography Giveaway and meet this amazing couple.

Since this session, Guys company has suffered the loss of one of their men just this past week.
I'm sure they could all use our extra prayers, thoughts and support right now.
Please remember them.

All because two people fell in love... {Denver Family Photographer}

Ok,Ok... so I know that phrase is a tad cliche, but oh my goodness, just look at this beautiful family!  The M family all came together this summer for a fun filled family reunion.

Mr. and Mrs M met in high school, fell in love and have been married for 59 years.  How wonderful is that!

Being with them for just a few hours their love and devotion to each other and their family was crystal clear and oh so sweet

Four children followed and blossomed into oodles of grandchildren and great grandchildren.  All just as cute and sweet as the next.

You can tell this family really loves to be together and have fun!

After a wonderful weekend of games, roller skating and a whole lot of togetherness the highlight of the family reunion was presenting Grandma and Grandpa a beautiful album of handmade scrapbook pages that each family had created and put together for the occasion.  I'm sure this gift will be a treasure for sure!  (Mental note, do this at MY next reunion, what a great idea!)

Thank you M family for letting me capture your amazing family and share in the warmth and joy of two people who fell in love.
