In March I had the opportunity to attend this amazing convention with 15,000 of my closest photographer friends in Las Vegas at the MGM convention center

I was able to meet up with several photographers from both UT and AZ and room together for the week. The amazing ladies: Kathy, Joanna , Kelli, Terri, and Caitlin 

Did I mention that each and every one of these ladies was 100% fabulous?  Well they are! 

For weeks I poured over the WPPI offerings and came up with a jam packed agenda, workshops from the best of the best in the biz, trade show drooling over the latest and greatest gear and product, 

Lunch meet ups, photo shoots and parties galore!

We pretty much stuck with the agenda above with the exception of a few things. 

Honestly were so tired by the end of the day we were not the party animals 

we thought we were going to be.  

We LOVED the Smug Mug  PJ Party on top of the MGM and made friends with 

the Jarvie window and Photobooth!  

and bonus we didn't have to wear heels or get dressed up for it!

A true highlight from the workshops were Jesh de Rox, who at 8am on a Monday morning had 900 people in tears and moved in a way that will change the way we photograph forever.  More in Jesh in another post, BIG things coming to Darbym.com!

Kathy and I started this Photography biz journey about the same time.

I can't think of anyone else I'd like to be on this crazy journey with than her! 

I Love you Kathy!

The trade show was huge and a tad overwhelming, it was fun to see old friends  

Wade and Markam  at the Smug booth and meet so many new friends at my time there.

 WPPI is going to be a yearly occurrence for sure now!  

I've come home with some many ideas for product to offer my clients, marketing ideas, 

services for my brand and or course technical overload!

On the way to the airport we stopped off at Cafe Rio and indulged in some yumminess 

know as Sweet Pork Barbaco Salad  with cilantro lime dressing. 

(OK, now I'm hungry!)

Well look who has joined the family!

Little Miss S is just as sweet and adorable as can be.  At just 8 days old this wee one was so alert and darling, I could have held her all day long.

Thank you M family for sharing your tiny blessing with me for a few hours! I can't wait to watch her grow and of course give her many more snuggles.  Congratulations to you all and if you need a babysitter i'm here for ya!

Little Miss T

I love having this cutie pie in front of my camera!  She does not stay still for long and loves having the Mama close by but boy is she a sweetheart!

What a fun time I had with this family.

These kids were so well behaved and were awesome troopers as the temperature was dropping. Little Miss Polka Dot kept offering posing suggestions.  She was full of sassy in the best way possible!

Baby blue eyes was just as delicious as they come and although taking photos was I'm sure what he did not have the agenda for the day he was a great sport and so full of energy.

Mr. GQ was such a great listener and was perfect in following directions, boy is this young man going to be breaking hearts all over the place in a few years.

I have to give a shout out to Mom and Dad too as they were so awesome to work with and open and excited for any suggestion.  "Go stand in the middle of the street with your precious family" They were all for it!

This family session brings a close to the 2009 year for me and what an adorable family to end with.  Thanks {A} Team for spending the afternoon with me.

Ohhhhhh the eyes... the beautiful blue eyes on this baby are breathtaking. And these are all hers folks no photo shop for those peepers!

This little family is as fun as they are adorable we had a blast exploring my favorite little park and making little Miss T giggle.

These guys are just so dang fun to hang out with and those two cutie pie kiddos really melt my heart.
Matt and Ben go waaaaayyyyy back. And Christy and I were instant chums when they moved to our little town. I had such fun capturing this stunning family.
